Treasure Hunt: The Ride is a theme park ride for the entire family, built exclusively for Cannery Row in Monterey! It’s a pirate-themed adventure that’s part ride and part game. The immersive attraction is inspired by the area’s unique history and puts you in the middle of the action as you use interactive devices to collect treasure and ward off danger!The 20-minute immersive family attraction begins with your first steps down a 30’ tall wooden mast with an animatronic pirate named Shark Bait Sam and his trusty sidekick parrot, Scuttle, perched on the crow’s nest. As you head further below deck, you will be introduced to the storyline of Treasure Hunt: The Ride before arriving on the loading platform to an adventurous elevator ride. Once the elevator doors open, you and up to 20 guests at a time embark on a journey that takes you into the depths of the pirate hideout below… but not everything goes as planned.After making it to the bottom of the attraction, you will board old-fashioned ore carts with 4 seats each. Each cart is equipped with interactive “Treasure Collectors” so you can collect treasures and fend off dangers, including cave creatures, skeleton pirates, and the ghost of Bouchard himself! Compete with your friends for the highest scores multiple times throughout a single day!
