Our tour has great information and a fresh positive perspective on ATL history.
You will enjoy hearing about Atlanta’s efforts to reshape its in-town neighborhoods to make them more walkable, affordable, and inter-connected. We will acquaint you with how Atlanta and Georgia’s business and political leaders almost always seem to be on the same page when it concerns the progress of Metro-Atlanta. You will learn the history of how a small Native American settlement grew into the railroad hub of the South and the pumping artery of the Confederacy. Trace the city’s journey from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement. Understand how a segregated street shaped a Civil Rights icon. Learn how a young farmer, a Naval academy graduate, and an officer became the 39th President of the United States. You will experience what it’s like to live in a city in a forest. See how a city with no natural waterways grew into an international city.
