Winter is the best time of year to view Yellowstone wolves. Our tour will focus on Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley, undoubtedly one of the best prime wildlife viewing spots in North America as it harbors impressive wolf packs, large herd os bison, elk, and moose.
In Dec through March Yellowstone wolves become highly viewable and often be seen challenging elk and Bison in Yellowstones famous Lamar Valley. In late Winter Yellowstone starts to comes to life as the temperature gets slightly warmer, the snow starts to melt, grizzly bears start to wake up from a long hibernation. March in Yellowstone is the best time of the season to view the parks population of grizzly bears fighting against wolves for dominance of food resources and attempt to take over the landscape.
This tour is led by a wildlife biologist that is a professional guide in Yellowstone National Park. Through out the day they will interpret the landscape and wildlife interactions. It will certainly be an unforgettable day!

Traveler pickup is offered
For this tour we can pick up from any hotel or address in Bozeman, Livingston, Gardiner, or Mammoth Hot Springs. We cannot pick up from West Yellowstone, Big Sky, 320 ranch, or Jackson Hole Wyoming. If you're staying out of our pick up zone we can possibly meet you at a convenient location. It is not recommended to meet us in Bozeman if your e staying in big sky or anywhere near there because the day is too long for you and the late start will probably mean we miss seeing any wolves. Bozeman, Gardiner, or mammoth hot springs are the best pick up locations.
