Your Boston Back Bay tour starts at Copley Square, home to a few of the city’s architectural treasures. On one side sits the Romanesque beauty Trinity Church, while opposite stands the more modern John Hancock Tower, the tallest building in New England.
Among other significant landmarks surrounding the park we’ll visit is Renaissance Revival–style Boston Public Library.
Another big draw of the area are the Victorian brownstones along its tree-lined streets. As we learn the histories of these iconic houses, we’ll also explore Newbury Street, a mile-long stretch of boutique shops and restaurants.
Away from this bustling commercial center, we’ll enjoy a peaceful stroll with picturesque views of the city from Charles River Esplanade.
Equally stunning, Boston Public Garden – the first public botanical garden in the U.S. – contains several interesting attractions, including a local favorite, Make Way For Ducklings, and is the perfect location to wrap up our Boston history and culture tour!
