Get to know the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States with a local on this walking tour of the prestigious Harvard University!
Alongside your guide, you’ll tour Harvard’s beautiful campus, its sidewalks lined with historic buildings such as the impressive Widener Library – housing over 3.5 million books! – and the more demure but beautiful Memorial Church.
Your tour guide will let you in on the history of the university and some lesser-known attractions, like the whispering arch at Sever Hall.
Along the way, you might recognize some areas that have been featured in films, including Harvard Yard, the oldest part of the University grounds.
After you’ve taken in the gorgeous gothic-style halls and absorbed the busy student life vibe of the campus, we may have some time to end the tour with a visit to Cambridge Common and Harvard Square. From here, you can enjoy shopping, dining, or a lovely walk through the park.
