The Shepherd of the Hills Farm is Branson’s most historic attraction. Originally established in 1884 this historic property literally was the birthplace of tourism in the Branson area when visitors first started coming to the area after Harold Bell Wright’s best selling novel, The Shepherd of the Hills, was first published in 1907. Since that time, while preserving the history, the Farm has been improved to include a number of amenities for young and old alike. With Lil Pete’s Playland opening in 2018, the homestead now includes a petting zoo, miniature golf, a kids obstacle course and Play Barn. With Morgan Chapel, you can take time to sit and reflect on what first brought the young Christian Minister into this area in the first place.
