Experience the thrill of piloting a helicopter with a professional instructor above Westchester, New York. No prior flying experience is necessary to begin your first lesson at the Westchester County Airport in White Plains. Your instructor will guide you through a ground instruction that covers helicopter controls, flying techniques and safety procedures. Afterwards, you will embark on a 30- or 60-minute flight (depending on the option chosen) with a Certified Flight Instructor.Once in the air, you will take control of the helicopter and witness breathtaking views of Westchester County, the New York/Connecticut coastline, and the Hudson River from a unique aerial perspective. Please note: lessons are not permitted in NYC airspace. You will be flying an R44 Raven II helicopter, which is known for its superior safety, high performance and comfort. The price includes one guest observer to ride along.Convenient roundtrip transfers are available between Manhattan and Westchester County Airport (if option booked), with pick-up 90 minutes before your flight.You can choose between the following options available in the order box:

* Subject to favourable weather conditions and helicopter maintenance; if cancelled due to these reasons, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
* Federal regulations do not permit flight lessons in New York City airspace, therefore they stay over the Westchester area, Hudson Valley or Connecticut. Routes are subject to change based on weather, air traffic control and temporary flight restrictions
* Flights depart from Westchester County Airport in White Plains, a relaxed crowd-free location just outside NYC easily accessed by public transit (Metro-North rail from Grand Central Terminal) or car (free parking)
* Convenient roundtrip transfers are available from anywhere in Manhattan, if option booked. Please provide your pick-up location at checkout
* Flight lessons begin with ground instruction then students do approximately 75% of the flying using dual controls, under flight instructor supervision
* Minimum age for student pilot is 14 years. Children 18 years and under must be accompanied by an adult or have parental consent
* Children under 2 years old fly at no cost if they can safely fit on parent's lap
* The price includes one guest observer to ride along
* English proficiency is required for flight lessons
