Come see where the turn of the 20th century Jewish immigrants lived, worked, prayed and played. Includes synagogues, banks, bakeries, schools. Dr. Schatz is an expert in Philadelphia Jewish History and shares his own family story as we point out the various buildings and institutions in the neighborhood. We usually can enter at least one currently active synagogue (depends on their hours), as well as the local Jewish kosher bakery. Snacks on your own, and donations at the synagogue are welcome.
