We will hike alongside the beautiful Fiery Gizzard creek, see some small waterfalls, an abandoned coal mine, and a Continental Trail Wreck!
Relaxing sounds of flowing rapids and birds fill the air as we enjoy our day hiking in one of the best nature preserves in Tennessee.
You may wish to come prepared to take a dip in one of the waterfall pools during warmer months. It's a great way to relax and cool down.
This hike is approximately 3 to 4 miles long with over 300ft of elevation gain. We will traverse a lot of slippery rocks, roots, and some stair steps.

A certified Wilderness First Aid medic attends all of our hiking adventures.
Not recommended for travelers with back problems. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Near public transportation. Not wheelchair accessible. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. This trail features sections that can be rocky, steep and/or slippery. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required.. Tennessee weather tends to be unpredictable – this tour operates rain or shine so please be prepared accordingly. Must be in good physical condition, able to climb over downed trees, walk on uneven surfaces and climb in elevation. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers.
