Relax into East Austin’s hippie vibes and enjoy a culinary tour of the neighborhood!
We will meet at Flat Track - a coffee shop conjoined with CycleEast, a bike repair shop. We encourage you to come in early and take a peek into Austin’s local bike scene.
After introductions we’ll pedal you to our first location - Tamale House, a 3rd generation family owned Mexican restaurant. There you’ll experience the nostalgia of Old Austin, eat authentic, handmade, fresh Migas (breakfast tacos) paired with a delicious margarita and hear about the Latin history of this neighborhood.
Next, we’ll journey to La Barbeque! You’ll sample a juicy bbq plate and wash it down with a beer. After you get your brisket-fill you’ll get to relax on a scenic ride through the East Austin neighborhood, Downtown and SOCO.
No feast is complete without dessert! For the final leg of the journey we’ll whisk you away to the SOCO district to a local favorite and staple- Amy’s Ice Creams.
