Relax in a classic Mercedes for a comfy and personal tour guided by me, a Northwest native and former Seattle Times reporter. We'll explore Seattle’s historical Rock & Roll sites ranging from the city’s earliest jazz club, beatnik jazz to Jimi Hendrix growing up poor in Seattle--where a guitar became something of a first and lasting love for him--through our iconoclastically creative (though sometimes tragic) Grunge scene, to great musicians of the present day.
As we go from early Chris Cornell sites, to Kurt Cobain's mansion, to the Jimi Hendrix statue to Layne Staley's penthouse, and a whole lot more, you'll also enjoy an inside tour of Seattle, with great rock stories along the way.
By the end of the tour, I hope you will have gained a deep appreciation for the art these musicians have created, and a sympathy for the sometimes difficult lives that provided the roots from which their music emerged.
