What To Expect
For those with a sense of adventure, a 4x4 drive up the highest road pass in Africa will certainly provide a hefty dose of adrenalin. For guests efforts, they will be rewarded with its breathtaking scenery.
From Durban, guests drive through the green hills of the Midlands towards the little country town of Underberg. Here, the 4x4 vehicle awaits, the only form of transport equipped to tackle Sani Pass! Guests will have their passports stamped as they enter the Kingdom of Lesotho, and stop at a nearby Sotho Village to enjoy a taste of the local culture.
Lunch is served at the highest pub in Africa, truly, and, it stands to reason, the views are utterly breathtaking!
Once guests have recovered their breath, they will wind down the Pass very slowly, and wind their way gently back to Durban. Guests will certainly have had a day filled with altitude!

Child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults. Not wheelchair accessible. Minimum numbers apply. Minimum of two people to guarantee departure. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. Stroller accessible. A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. Service animals allowed. You MUST confirm and obtain any visa requirements prior to Lesotho border crossing. All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. Please note: hotels located in Umhlanga and Ballito are not included in the hotel pick up list. Near public transportation. Please note: pickup reconfirmation is required upon booking, please refer to voucher for further details. Infants must sit on laps. Most travelers can participate. A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers.
