The views from the top of this mountain, which rises 11,411 feet or 3,478 meters above sea level, will leave you breathless with its splendor.You will also see a mysterious natural wonder known as the black glacier or Ventisquero Negro as the locals call it. This glacier appears to be an ebony black color even though it receives water from the white Rio Manso Glacier. The white Rio Manso Glacier is located only a few hundred feet above the mountain. This river that comes from the Manso glacier is also the source for numerous waterfalls such as the splendid Los Alerces Cascade, a number of picturesque lakes in the area and the river runs all the way down to the Pacific Ocean.
