Gate Way to Bhutan

This tour is guided by a master botanist. The tour is kept broadly and depending on the season there could be changes to this itinerary. An astonishing array of plants grow in Bhutan: over 5,400 species, including 500 species of medicinal plants, some hardy species thriving even at 3,700m above. It has also 82 unique orchids and 48 unique rhododendrons species. The tropical vegetation below 800m has forests of oak, birch, maple, magnolia and laurel. Above 2,400m altitude home to spruce, yew, and weeping cypress. Higher still grows the east Himalayan fir. At about 5,500m are low shrubs, rhododendrons, Himalayan grasses and flowering herbs.

Important information

Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking. Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. May be operated by a multi-lingual guide. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant meals not included. Passport name, number, expiry and country is required at time of booking for all participants
