The Desolation pass is an old 13-kilometer crossing that runs through the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, this path was used by the Huilliches and later by the Jesuits to connect from Lake Llanquihue to Lake Todos Los Santos through a pass that forms between the Osorno volcano and the Picada hill.
This route has a beautiful panoramic view of the Osorno and Tronador volcanoes, La Picada hill, Todos Los Santos lake and Margarita Island. The road is marked by changes in landscapes and environments, going from volcanic slag heaps to dense forests.
