WWII Historical Eagle's Nest Tour in Berchtesgaden Germany

Much more than just a sightseeing tour! This historical tour (in English) combines stunning Alpine scenery with fascinating WWII history. Beginning with an explanation of the history of Obersalzberg; you'll learn why the mountainside was so decisive, and how and why it became so important to Hitler. You'll then travel in one of the mountain buses up to the Eagle's Nest and be shown around the historic building paying particular attention to the many original features that still remain, including the famous brass elevator. The tour will include ample opportunities to take photos and ask any questions you may have. The tour also includes ca. 1 hour of free time to yourselves once the guide has finished with all of the historical information. However this is flexible and can be extended (at no additional cost) if you'd like to spend longer up at the Eagle's Nest. Simply speak to your guide on the day of tour and they will be able to make the necessary amendment to your ticket.
