Día de Canarias celebration of folklore and traditions in Vecindario

This is your chance to skip the tourist resorts for the day and venture into Vecindario for a day of authentic local celebrations. On 30th May the town comes together for the Día de Canarias, a day marking the first session of the Canary Islands Parliament back in 1983.After being picked up from your hotel, you'll be whisked off to the cultural heart of the Canaries for this one-off event. You'll have almost three hours to immerse yourself in the atmosphere. Folk music echoes through the streets, while the waft of the food stalls will tempt you to follow your nose to some tasty treats. You'll find traditional performances, games and sporting events throughout the town, creating a truly festive feel. As the festivities wind down, we'll leave the charm and vibrancy of Vecindario behind. You'll return to your hotel with a deeper understanding of Gran Canaria's local culture, having experienced the island's traditions firsthand on this special day.
