Barcelona gourmet tapas small-group tour and Flamenco show

+2 photos
This 3-hour evening tour begins with a relaxed walk through Barcelona, stopping to sample classic Catalan tapas in a modernist-style bar in the heart of the Eixample neighbourhood. Here, you’ll try small plates such as pa amb tomàquet (bread with olive oil and tomatoes) and patates braves (potatoes with oil, red pepper and chilli, served with aioli). You can watch the chef preparing the dishes before sitting down to enjoy your food and a drink, while your guide shares insights into Catalan cuisine. From Eixample, you’ll continue on foot towards El Born, with your guide introducing you to the city’s history, food traditions and local culture along the way. In the neighbourhood’s ham shop, you’ll taste a selection of cured meats made from acorn-fed pigs, along with popular cheeses such as Manchego. The walk then takes you past Barcelona Cathedral (the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia) and the remains of the old Roman city walls, before reaching Plaça Reial in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. This lively square, close to La Rambla, is where the evening’s highlight awaits. You’ll end the tour with a 45-minute flamenco performance in one of Barcelona’s oldest flamenco bars, featuring talented dancers performing to traditional Spanish music.
