Sauna is an important part of the Finnish culture. For centuries, sauna has been considered a place for physical and spiritual cleansing. A traditional part of the Finnish culture is to go dipping into ice lakes or roll around in snow after first getting warmed up in the sauna. It is considered by many to be good for your blood circulation and can give you an adrenaline rush. For this activity, you will enter the Arctic forest and participate in a firewood sauna. After the sauna experience, you will continue to a frozen lake where the hunt for the northern lights begins! You will be served hot drinks and gingerbread cookies, and will be able to kick your legs up and relax in a hot tub overlooking the northern lights.
