Entrance tickets to Château de Pierrefonds

Discover the Château de Pierrefonds, recreated by the architect Viollet-le-Duc in the 19th century.Erected in the late 14th century by Duke Louis of Orléans, the château was taken down in the 17th century and was in ruins when Napoleon III decided to commission architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc to rebuild it. He applied his architectural designs to create the ideal château, such as would have existed in the Middle Ages.

Important information
Know in advance:
* Opening hours are from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm between September 5th and April 30th, and from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm between May 2nd and September 4th. Last access to the monument is one hour before closing; the park closes 45 minutes before the monument
* The monument is closed on January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th
* Free admission for children under 18 years, and for European citizens from 18 to 25 years, disabled, and journalists
* Free admission on the first Sunday of each month (from November to March) and for the European Heritage Days (3rd week-end of September)
