Commonly known as Old Delhi, the walled city of Shahjahanabad came into being in 1638 when the Mughals shifted their capital from Agra to Delhi.
This is a fascinating walk winding through the varied neighbourhood and specialized marketplaces of Chandni Chowk. Religious and commercial activities go hand in hand. The vast expanse of the old walled city enjoys an amicable coexistence of different religious faiths.
Do visit the langar (community kitchen) at the Gurudwara. Thrice a day, meals are on offer to the thousands who visit this one of India's mega kitchens and it is all free!
Sneeze to the myriad variety of spices at Asia's largest spice market.
Famous historic sites, the cacophony of myriad sounds, pungent smells, smiling faces, organized chaos, exotic colours, soothing fragrances and gastronomic aroma - all comes your way as a great introduction to incredible India!
History, culture, interesting anecdotes and plenty of Instagram opportunities adorn this tour.
