Etna: Winter excursion to 3.000mt

4.94.5 / 5
Ashàra's alpine and volcanological guides will guide your steps, giving you unforgettable moments and sensations. Enjoy the magnificence of Etna in the coldest period in its brilliant colors. Starting from the Ashàra info point located in Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza, we will go up by cable car to an altitude of 2,500 metres. From there, we will start the trek at around 3,000 meters. The presence of ice and snow makes this excursion a suitable activity for expert hikers. Travel along long stretches of snow and visit the cone of the 2001 eruption, the Valle del Bove and the Barbagallo craters. Admire Etna's summit craters from a safe distance before starting the return trek. If snow conditions permit, we will visit a lava flow channel before arriving at the upper station of the cable car to return to the starting point.
