Procida, a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, is located at the entrance to the Gulf of Naples, between Ischia and Cape Miseno. It is the smallest of the three sister islands, Ischia, Capri, and Procida, but has nearly 11,000 inhabitants. Its volcanic origins are clearly visible in the landscape: the coastline is made of tuff rock, steep and dramatic, overlooking crystal-clear waters, with coves and traces of ancient craters. Inland, the terrain is hilly, fertile, and covered in typical Mediterranean vegetation, offering visitors a landscape of rare beauty.
