In the art of preparing matcha (powdered green tea), every mindful gesture carries deep significance.Your host, Rie, a Kyoto native, is a second-degree instructor of the Urasenke School of tea ceremony. In 2015, she founded her own tea ceremony business to share the beauty of this traditional culture. During this experience, you'll savour organic matcha tea from Uji, brewed by Rie, followed by a hands-on tea-making lesson. Know in advance: * This is a shared experience * The kimono rental is for use only within the teahouse venue and cannot be worn outside * The kimono rental does not include any hair arrangement service * Please arrive 20 minutes before the experience start time to dress the kimono. Note that if you are late, you won't be able to wear the kimono and no refund will be provided * Children must be at least 5 years old to join
