Jebel Shams tour with balcony walk

Your journey will start at 08.30 am from your hotel/selected location. The tour guide will take you on the road to the Jebel Shams Mountain, which means the mountain of the sun. It's 3009m on the sea level, the highest pick in all the Arabian Peninsula, and the most impressive mountain of all the Al Hajar complex in Oman.You’ll have a stop at the photographic point on the Grand Canyon, which offers a spectacular view over the surrounding valleys and Wadis. After you will start the “Balcony Walk” from the Khateem village, the starting point for the Balcony Walk, which winds along the edge of high cliffs up the rim of Wadi Nakhr to the last abandoned village. The walk you’re going to do is a soft one and it will take approximately 30 minutes and then you will go back to the starting point. During it, you’ll have the chance to take beautiful pictures of the panoramic landscape which it’s offered by the canyon.Enriched by this amazing experience, you’ll go with your guide to the restaurant for lunch. A break with good food and some relaxation will restore your senses and prepare you for the drive to Al Hamra village. There, you’ll admire the old houses made by mud and visit a little museum located in one of the traditional restored houses within the village. The locals will guide you in the interiors of this typical Omani house and tell about their uses and traditions at home. In the afternoon, you will go back to your hotel in Muscat.
