See these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat from a speedy semi-rigid inflatable boat, on this award-winning Madeira dolphin and whale-watching tour.Head to the Rota dos Cetaceos – ‘Cetacean Route' – base near the Funchal marina, where you'll receive expert information from the marine biologist team about the species that you'll likely be observing at sea – including bottlenose dolphins, pilot and sperm whales, and stately sea turtles.Other team members are positioned at elevated look-out posts along the coast, so they will radio in the location of dolphin and whale pods. Armed with their location, you'll be whisked off in small, lightning-quick inflatable boats, where the expert drivers will bring you really close to the dolphins and whales without disturbing them – and your on-board marine biologist will be happy to answer your questions about the wildlife on display.

* Tour duration approximately is 2.5 hours – tour times vary depending on the time of year
* We prioritize responsible and respectful wildlife viewing on all of our dolphin and whale-watching tours, and we try to avoid interfering with their natural behaviours as much as possible. While sightings can't be 100% guaranteed due to this conservation-focused effort, we'll try our best to make sure you see them
* From May to October there are 3 daily departures: 09:00 , 12:30 and 16:00. From November to April there are 2 daily departures: 09:00 and 13:30
* The trips will only be carried out in suitable sea and atmospheric conditions
* Meeting point: at the Rota dos Cetaceos office 20 minutes before the trip for the briefing with a biologist: Galerias São Lourenço Shopping Centre at the Rota dos Cetaceos office (shop number 35)
