The Nuns Valley, Curral das Freiras, a small parish surrounded by steep mountains, is located in the heart of the island. This deep valley is thought to have been shaped either by erosion or volcanic activity.Upon passing the church of Santo António, your first stop will be the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint, situated at 350 m. From here, you'll be able to enjoy the magnificent view of Funchal.Continuing your journey, you'll make your way through the mountains until you reach Eira do Serrado. At an elevation of 1094 m, this vantage point offers an excellent view overlooking Curral das Freiras.After exploring Curral das Freiras, your route will take you back to Funchal.
