Visit Mount Dalsnibba and Eagle Road from Geiranger

This panoramic tour will take you to visit all the must-see spots around Geiranger. As part of this experience you will drive on iconic roads, visit viewpoint with breathtaking views and stand on mountains with altitudes of up to 1500 meters.You will start your tour from the village of Geiranger and you will drive uphill through numerous hairpin bends. The first stop is at Flydalsjuvet from which you can look out over UNESCO’s Geirangerfjord. After a short stop, the bus will take you all the way up the famous Mount Dalsnibba, home to the Geiranger Skywalk which sits approximately 1500 meters above sea level. From here you can enjoy panoramic views of Geiranger and the Geirangerfjord.The excursion continues to Djupvatnet, a mountain lake which lies at approximately 1000 meters above sea level, where you can take some more pictures. Before heading back to the pier you will experience the Eagle Road, a spectacular road with 11 hairpin bends. On the steep sides of the road you might spot goats grazing grass. Once you arrive at the last hairpin bend, the bus will stop for a break. You can walk to the platform for another majestic view of the Geirangerfjord and the waterfall “Seven Sisters”.Please note: in the month of May, the road to Mount Dalsnibba may still be closed due to snow and risk of avalanches. Should the road be closed on the day of your visit, the stop there will be replaced with a visit to another beautiful location. Rest assured that this will not lessen the duration or the quality of the tour.
