This is a Small Group Tour – Maximum 7 Passengers!
Our first destination is Poenari Fortress, once served as a strategic stronghold for Vlad the Impaler, the historical figure who inspired the legend of Dracula. We’ll admire it from the outside and learn about its fascinating history.
Next, we’ll visit the impressive Vidraru Dam, a remarkable feat of engineering from the 1960s that holds back the sparkling waters of Lake Vidraru.
We then ascend into the Făgăraș Mountains National Park, where nature's beauty truly comes alive. Here we can see Wild Brown Bears in their natural environment.
Our main destination is Bâlea Lake, located at over 2,000 meters altitude. Here, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy lunch, and admire the panoramic views, including the famous winding Transfăgărășan Road, featured on Top Gear as one of the most beautiful roads in the world.
On the way back we'll stop at Capra Waterfall, perfect for taking in the fresh mountain air and capturing some stunning photos.

Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Children under 7 years old cannot participate in shared group tours. Please contact us to give you a private tour offer. . Be prepared for a long drive!. This tour require a minimum of 3 passangers . We will NOT visit the interior of Poenari Fortress, we will only see it from below - outside. To enter in Poenari Fortress you have to climb 66 floors on the stairs! . You will meet our guide at 7:45 a.m. We suggest you come 5 minutes early. Being a group tour, we can not wait for you after the mentioned time.. Friendly Reminder: Please don’t bring coffee cups, open drinks, or snacks into the vehicle! No food, please! If the car smells like a picnic, we basically become a target for the brown bears. Let’s keep it bear-free and stress-free!
