We Guarantee that you will see Wild Brown Bears from July to September!
Start from Bucharest at 7:45 a.m., make a coffee and snack stop around 10 a clock, then drive to Poenari Fortress, once a strategic stronghold of Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Dracula. The fortress is on the top of a mountain and cannot visited inside. We'll only see it from the outside.
Next is Vidraru Dam, one of Romania's engineering marvels. This towering structure, built in the 1960s, holds back the glistening waters of Lake Vidraru.
We will drive into the heart of the Făgăraș Mountains National Park.
Then we will stop at the Capra waterfall to admire the beauties of nature and the spectacular landscapes.
Finally we will reach Balea lake located at an altitude of over 2000 meters, here we will admire the famous Top Gear Road, we have lunch and enjoy the mountain.
On the way back to Bucharest we do one more stop for cafee and snack.

Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. The bears season is from May to October . Children under 7 years old cannot participate in shared group tours. Please contact us to give you a private tour offer. . Be prepared for a long drive!. This tour require a minimum of 2 passangers . We will NOT visit the interior of Poenari Fortress, we will only see it from below - outside. To enter in Poenari Fortress you have to climb 66 floors on the stairs! . You will meet our guide at 7:45 a.m. We suggest you come 5 minutes early. Being a group tour, we can not wait for you after the mentioned time.. Please do not bring any food into the vehicle! We'll see wild bears up close. If the car smells like food, we become a target for bears
