Here you can learn about the history of this humble folk shoe that has evolved into a major fashion trend. You'll find out the deepest secrets of this wonderful tradition. Together with master artisans, you'll craft your own pair of espadrilles. Hand-picking out of more than 100 thousand different combinations, you'll choose the size of the base, the stitching style and the colour and type of the laces. Once done, you'll learn the different ways to lace them up.In the end, when you put on your espadrille creation, you will feel like a true artisan. You'll get a wearable memory of Puerto Rico (one that is hardly available to visitors) and a really cool story to tell. You can choose between the following options available in the order box:

Extra fees to be paid on-site:
* The standard option of the workshop includes the flat traditional base. If you want to make it into a high heel, wedge or platform, ask the artisans for an upgrade of $79.90. Remember to mention it because by default they go straight for the flats
