This experience includes a bicycle hire, unrestricted access to the grounds of Mount Vernon, and a boat ride back to Washington DC. It's an ideal family adventure and equally suited for solo explorers.To maximise your day, it is suggested that you start early in the morning when the rental shop opens. The boat trip departs from Mount Vernon in the afternoon and docks at Pier 4 on Water Street SW, Washington DC. Alternatively, you have the option to cycle back to the starting point in Alexandria or, for a small additional charge, secure the bicycles at Mount Vernon and arrange your own return transport.

Important information
Extra fees to be paid on site:
* Double trailers for toddlers and tag-along attachments for young children available at an additional cost upon request
* An extra charge will be asked if you wish to secure the bicycles at Mount Vernon and arrange your own return transport

* All guests must be able to ride a bike on their own (unless on attachments)
* Guests under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult in order to ride a bike on their own
