Ban Gioc Waterfall is formed from a part of the Quay Son River at the border between Vietnam and China, divided into two parts, the main waterfall and the secondary waterfall. If viewed from below the foot of the waterfall, the left waterfall and the western half of the right waterfall belong to Vietnam’s sovereignty in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province; the eastern half of the right waterfall belongs to China’s sovereignty.
