Mitte's Backpacker Hostel

This hostel is the largest international meeting point for travellers throughout the world, affording a central location in the Mitte district of Berlin. It is just a short walk to Museumsinsel (Museum Island) and the Brandenburg Gate, whilst a variety of events take place in the vicinity, including the Fête de la Musique, the Christopher Street Day parade and Berlin's famous open-air raves. Alexanderplatz is 3 km away and Friedrichstraße with its many shops and entertainment venues is 1 km away. Schoenefeld airport is around 10 km from the hotel. The 6-storey hostel comprises a total of 25 rooms and features a spacious foyer with safes, a cloakroom and a 24-hour reception desk. Moreover, Internet access is available on payment of an additional fee and there is a cosy bar. The laundrette's may be taken advantage of, as can the bicycle hire and storage service. Each of the welcoming rooms is carpeted and has been uniquely decorated by international graffiti artists and features an Internet connection, a kitchenette, central heating and a sitting area. It is possible to overnight in the Skyline Room, the Marlene Dietrich Room or the Honeymoon Suite. It is possible to hire a bicycle. A varied entertainment programme provides some amusement for guests.
