Centrally located on Chincoteague Island, we are next door to the wonderful AmaRin Cafe & Bakery where you are sure to find great coffee & amazing pastries to start off your day. The historic shops of Main Street are just around the corner with famed restaurants like Bills Prime Seafood & Steaks & Don's Seafood Restaurant. Take a short walk down Maddox and you will find Steamers Restaurant & Sports Bar along with ice cream treasures Mr. Whippy's & Island Creamery. Check out our "Guide Book For Guests" in your room for more ideas of things to do while on our beautiful island! The office has a "Book Nook" with games, puzzles & books for our guests to borrow on those rainy days or slow nights. They are free to borrow, but please return them when you are done. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, home of the famous Chincoteague wild ponies, is less than 10 minutes away from The Maddox Inn. The NASA Visitor center on Wallops Island is just over 5 miles away. Numerous boat tours are within a ten minute drive to The Maddox Inn.
